A&N Police recruitment 2026: Andaman and Nicobar Police has extended the online application deadline for its 2026 recruitment drive for Group B and Group C posts. Candidates can now submit applications for 495 vacancies till June 10, 2026, while the correction window for submitted forms will remain open till June 12, 2026.The recruitment process covers several units, including the Executive Branch, Police Radio Organisation, Police Motor Transport, Police Marine Force, Fire and Emergency Services, and India Reserve Battalion. The notification was released on April 25, 2026, and online registration began on April 27, 2026.Recruitment drive covers multiple departmentsThe vacancies include posts such as Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Constable, Fireman, Radio Operator, Driver, Nursing Assistant, Safai Karmachari, Cook, Barber, Tailor and technical staff across departments.In the Executive Branch, vacancies include 28 Sub-Inspector posts along with three departmental vacancies, 155 Constable posts and several follower positions. The Police Radio Organisation has announced openings for Radio Operator, Radio Technician, Cipher Operator and other technical posts.Police Motor Transport has vacancies for Sub-Inspector, Dealing Assistant, Store Keeper and Constable Driver. Fire and Emergency Services has announced 77 Fireman vacancies along with posts for Driver, Cook and Safai Karmachari.Selection process and physical testsThe recruitment process includes Physical Measurement and Endurance Test, written examination, trade or skill test for selected posts, document verification and medical examination. The Physical Measurement and Endurance Test will be qualifying in nature.For male candidates, the race requirement is 1600 metres in seven minutes, while female candidates must complete 800 metres in five minutes. Long jump, high jump, height and chest measurements will also form part of the screening process. Separate standards have been prescribed for female and ST candidates.Final merit will be prepared on the basis of written examination and trade test performance wherever applicable.Eligibility, fees and application detailsThe upper age limit for Sub-Inspector and ASI posts is 30 years. For Constable posts, the age range is 18 to 25 years for men and 18 to 30 years for women. Reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation according to government rules.Male candidates belonging to General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Female candidates, ST applicants, PwD candidates and ex-servicemen are exempted from payment. Applications must be submitted online through the official recruitment portal.
