AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2026 results announced with 80 per cent overall pass rate

AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2026 results declared, 19,197 candidates qualify across Andhra Pradesh

The Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education entrusted Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, with conducting AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2026 examinations across the state. The entrance tests were held on May 04, 2026, in two sessions at 100 test centres across Andhra Pradesh.The results have now been released for candidates seeking admission into three-year and five-year LLB programmes and the two-year LLM course. According to the official data, 23,996 candidates appeared for the examinations, while 19,197 qualified, taking the overall pass percentage to 80 per cent. Rank cards have been made available online through the official portal.

Examination conducted in two sessionsThe first session of the examination was conducted from 9 am to 10.30 am, while the second session was held from 2 pm to 3.30 pm. Following the examination, preliminary answer keys were uploaded on May 07, 2026. Candidates were allowed to submit objections between May 07 and May 09, 2026.Officials stated that an expert committee examined all objections before preparing the final answer keys. The results were processed on the basis of these final keys.PGLCET records highest qualification percentageFor AP PGLCET 2026, conducted for admission into the two-year LLM course, 2,235 candidates registered and 1,904 appeared for the examination. Out of them, 1,752 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 92.02 per cent.In the AP LAWCET three-year LLB stream, 22,284 candidates registered, while 17,533 appeared. A total of 13,863 candidates qualified, recording a pass percentage of 79.07 per cent.For the five-year LLB course, 5,502 candidates registered and 4,559 appeared for the test. Among them, 3,582 candidates qualified, with the stream recording a pass percentage of 78.57 per cent.Category and gender-wise figures releasedThe category and gender-wise data released by the authorities covered all three streams. Among Open Category candidates, 4,338 male and 2,420 female candidates appeared for the examination, while 3,474 male and 1,681 female candidates qualified.The authorities stated that local area-wise, category-wise and stream-wise analyses had also been completed and would be shared with the media along with city-wise statistics attached separately as annexures.
