The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) will begin the registration process for the Computerized Common Admission Test (C-CAT) 2026 August session from May 26, 2026.Interested candidates will be able to apply for the examination through the official website, till June 23, 2026.According to the official schedule, the CDAC C-CAT August 2026 examination will be conducted on July 4 and July 5 at various test centres. The admit card for the exam will be released around three to four days before the examination.The duration of the entrance test will be one hour.
CDAC C-CAT 2026 : Application fee
Candidates applying for the exam will have to pay the following application fee:
- Rs 1,550 for Course Category II (Papers A+B)
- Rs 1,750 for Course Category III (Papers A+B+C)
The fee can be paid through online mode while filling out the application form.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in the following subjects are eligible to apply:
- Information Technology (IT)
- Computer Science (CS)
- Electronics
- Telecommunications
- Electrical
- Instrumentation
Applicants must have secured at least 55 per cent aggregate marks in their qualifying degree.CDAC has also clarified that there is no age limit for admission to its postgraduate certificate programmes.

- Fill in personal and academic information in the application form
- Upload the required documents and photographs in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee online
- Submit the form and select the preferred exam date for the August batch
CDAC postgraduate certificate programmes are 24-week full-time courses that include around 1,200 hours of training and 300 hours of self-study.The postgraduate diploma batch for the August session is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026.
