Flipkart rejigs Myntra leadership, Sharon Pais to lead

Bengaluru: IPO-bound Flipkart Group on Monday announced a leadership change at Myntra, naming Sharon Pais as the head of the fashion e-tailer with immediate effect, while current chief executive Nandita Sinha moves on from the company.Sinha will continue to support the business over the coming months to ensure continuity, the company said.Pais will report to Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy. She has worked closely with the Myntra and Flipkart Fashion teams over the years, the company said, positioning the transition as part of its internal leadership bench strength.“Myntra has built a strong position in the fashion and lifestyle space over the years. Sharon has worked closely with the team and understands the business well. This change reflects the depth of our internal leadership and our continued focus on execution,” Krishnamurthy said, thanking Sinha for her contributions. The move also reshapes leadership across the fashion vertical. Kapil Thirani will now lead Flipkart Fashion, reporting to Sakait Chaudhary, senior vice president and head of marketplace at Flipkart. The company said it will initiate the process to identify a successor for the marketplace business. The announcement confirms a transition that had been under discussion in recent days and comes amid a broader set of senior-level changes at Flipkart. Earlier this year, Myntra’s chief financial officer Abhishek Gupta left to join Livspace and was replaced by Kannan Ganesan. In March, Flipkart group CFO Sriram Venkataraman also resigned and is expected to step down in the coming months.Sinha, who took over as Myntra CEO in 2022 after more than a decade within the Flipkart group, had led the platform through a phase that included achieving net profitability in FY24.
