Harmeet Dhillon, the Indian-origin aide of President Donald Trump, who was present at the White House dinner where a shooting took place targeting the administration officials, made some jokes that did not go down well with a majority of the social media users. The assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department asked whether women at the event could repeat their outfits for another event. “Every woman at the event last night low key wondering if they can repeat that outfit at the do-over, or use it for another red carpet event … because did it really “count”?” Dhillon posted on X from her personal account. The post drew mixed reaction as many did not like how Dhillon was making light of the situation thought many shared her humor and said they were thinking the same.“This post from you disappoints me. I agree that people there may be thinking that since everything is ok, but some things don’t belong on social media and are better left said to your close friends. I lost some professional respect for you just now,” one user wrote. From the same account, Dhillon shared her look from the event as well.On her official account, however, she announced that she had a bruise on her head from the Secret Service running across her tables and chairs while she ducked under the Washington Post’s table. “The Secret Service was very impressive last night, sprinting across the extremely crowded room to secure the scene. Everyone was calm and followed their orders to get down and get out of the way. It could have been so much worse. Every day I am grateful for law enforcement!” Dhillon wrote thanking the Secret Service.Shooter Cole Tomas Allen told police that he was going after “administration officials” at the event inside Washington Hilton hotel where he was staying.
