Albino buffaloes in Bangladesh that resemble global leaders US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have become a major attraction ahead of the Eid al-Adha festival, with crowds gathering daily at cattle farms in Narayanganj near the capital Dhaka to catch a glimpse of the unusual animals. One of the buffaloes, a 700kg albino animal named after Donald Trump, has gone viral on social media as visitors described his resemblance to the US president. The buffalo was named ‘Donald Trump’ because of its golden-coloured hair and facial appearance, The Independent reported.“When I saw his pictures on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and even hairstyle match that of Trump,” a visitor told local newspaper Prothom Alo.“The buffalo is very calm and polite in nature,” she added jokingly, “which definitely does not match with Donald Trump.”The animal’s owner, Ziauddin Mridha, said large numbers of people had been visiting the farm every day to take photographs and see the buffalo.“My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head. It is very calm in nature. Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked,” he said, according to The Independent.According to reports, the buffalo has already been sold at the rate of Tk550 per kilogram and will be delivered to its new owner before Eid.Another albino buffalo drawing attention in Narayanganj has been named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The buffalo, weighing more than 750kg, is reportedly known for its aggressive behaviour. Local reports claimed the animal’s hair and eyes resembled Netanyahu’s appearance.“I came here after hearing about this buffalo,” a visitor was quoted as saying by local media outlets.A manager at the SS Cattle Farm said the buffalo named ‘Netanyahu’ was difficult to handle.“Netanyahu is very naughty and has a devious intelligence. Even when we go to feed it, it snorts and tries to gore us,” the manager said. The farm houses six albino buffaloes, all of which are known for their temperamental behaviour.“Large crowds are arriving every day to catch a glimpse of them,” the manager added.
